This was the fourth visit for us all booked through Just One.

We have stayed at the Europa on three consecutive years, all booked through Just One, no complaints until this year.
However this time things changed. Last year 2008 we were upgraded without asking as returning customers. This year however they had no record at the desk of our previous visits, when shown to our room we were upset to find a tired some what environment in need of serious re decoration. We were refused an alternative and in fact the whole hotel staff with the exclusion of the bar seemed to be indeferent to any guests desptie nationality or age unless they happened to be guests of the annual Biennaly Festival. We are more concerned for your relationship with the hotel other than our own as we also happen to be so called Starwood Guests, this also had no effect whatsoever on the level of respect given my wife or I.
Because of our passion for Venice and the Europa we will probably return again all we can hope for is that you will pass our concerns to the Westin organisation. As a last remark I would add the we have previously been guests at The Londra Palace, Dannielle, and The Monaco, and we are also frequent visitors to many old and modern establishments in and around the Lagoon over the past 30 years. I hope this has been of use to you as a company, as we have only the best of service off Just One and hope to continue our relationship with you.

Thanks to all your staff for a very pleasant second stay with Westin at Venice.
We have used all the Hotels on the Riva and the Lagoon, and you are without doubt the one that we will return to in 2009,God Willing.
Top Tip
Just ask the Hotel Staff and you can not go wrong.

One of our couples had to move rooms after the fist night as it was not up to standard. We had a shirt ironed as there was no ironing board at a cost of 40 Euros. Reception staff were unhelpful and it took us over 40mins to check in and had to wait till 3.30pm for our room.

We went for a birthday occasion with a family group ranging from grandparents to grandchildren so it was important that it all felt special, which it did from the moment of arrival on its jetty! A charming local babysitter said it was one of the nicest hotels in Venice.
Top Tip
The Venetian experience should always start by taking the water-taxi from the airport (Marco Polo)! With children we didn't do anything very cultural this time, just walked and looked. Glass blowing at Murano is fascinating but there is sales pressure.

Bar area is very small but nice. Food was excellent. Respondeded to our individual requirements. Only negative, the flowers were delivered a day late. Wonderful location and experiance.
